If my perception of mods and how they work are wrong, I am sorry and I hope you guys can educate me on the subject. The whole mod system seems to have single player in mind, and it seems very chaotic to sort through servers that have a matching set of mods, not to mention limiting the amount of people you can play with since some people will prefer some mods over others. What stops people from creating OP stuff and owning everything with? If I play on a server with, lets say a class mod, I assume I can't play with that character on another server without the mod? Is each server hosted by a player who determines which mods are used on said server? It seems like the players can have a lot of influence on the game, even going as far as making custom classes.įirst of all, is multiplayer broken down into game lobbies kinda like in D2? And despite some flaws, it looks interesting.īut I was wondering how much influence mods would have on multiplayer though. I got interested in Torchlight 2 because Diablo 3 turned out to be a big dissapointment.
